All U.S. citizens and Canadian visitors coming to the U.S. can use the CLEAR Pass for CBP Mobile Passport Control app. While the app is created by CLEAR, you do not need to be a CLEAR member to use it.
What if I'm having trouble capturing the image of my CDC card?
Here are some tips when taking a photo of your CDC card:• Ensure your fingers are not over the edges of the document.• Take the photo in a well lit area, with a dark background, even light, and no shadows.• The information on the CDC card must be clearly visible (no glare).If your CDC card is heavily damaged or has large stickers on it, it’s likely it won’t successfully upload in our system. If you're unable to upload your card, you will have to go through the alternative testing options provided by your organization.
I uploaded my CDC card. How can I see an image of it?
The CDC upload process results in a QR code and it provides details of your vaccination. It does not preserve an image of your CDC card.
I entered incorrect information when uploading my CDC card. How can I edit it?
Unfortunately, you are currently unable to make edits to vaccine information once uploaded in the app. For additional assistance, contact customer service by emailing memberservices@clearme.com or calling 855-CLEARME(253-2763).
Who has access to the information I enter in the app?
All of the information that you enter is stored locally on your phone. When you submit your passport details and anwers to CPB questions to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, you will receive a confirmation QR Code. A U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer will review the QR code on your phone as part of your U.S. entry process via the mobile passport control lane. CLEAR does not store your information – we only process and send it on to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
As an existing CLEAR member, how can i create a digital vaccine card or link my vaccine to Health Pass?
If you’re an existing member and would like to link your vaccine information to your Health Pass, simply click ‘Get Started’ in the Health Pass tile in our mobile app. Enter the email address associated with your membership and follow the prompts on the screen to link your vaccination information.If you would like to create a digital vaccine card, simply click on the Digital Vaccine Card tile and enter your email address associated with your membership. Follow the prompts on the screen to generate your digital vaccine card.
Can a minor generate a digital vaccine card?
Currently you must be 18 or older and enrolled in CLEAR to create a digital vaccine card.
Do I have to be a CLEAR member to link my vaccination or scan my CDC card in the app?
Yes. If you aren't yet a member, you can enroll by selecting the 'digital vaccine card' tile or ‘Health Pass’ tile in the app.
I’ve enrolled, but I can’t find my lab provider in the app. How can I link my vaccine information?
In order to link your vaccine information and generate a digital vaccine card, you must have been vaccinated at one of our supported providers. We're always working to expand our network and any updates will be made directly in the app. If you do not see your provider, you can upload your CDC card.
