Will uploading a SMART Health Card generate a digital vaccine card?
Yes, if you successfully scan your SMART QR code a digital vaccine card will generate. However, if the name on your SMART Health card does not match the name on your CLEAR membership, your vaccine card will not be verified.
Will I be able to use SMART Health Card to create a Health Pass?
Yes, if it’s accepted by the partner it can be used to generate a Health Pass. Keep in mind, if the name on your SMART Health Card does not match the name on your CLEAR membership, your vaccine card will not be verified.
Is there a difference between iOS/Android?
Yes. Android will not support uploading an image from the photo library. This means members using an Android must scan their SMART QR code.
Can I retrieve an image of my SMART Health Card once uploaded?
No. Once scanned and a digital vaccine card is generated, you will only see your digital vaccine card.
Will an organization using Health Pass have access to my vaccination information through Health Pass?
No. Organizations will only know that you have added this information to our system and are just looking for your Health Pass for entry.
Why is my digitial vaccine card gray when my friend or family member's is blue?
A gray digital vaccine card means your vaccination information is not verified. It is unverified because we cannot validate the authenticity. For example, you will get a gray digital vaccine card if you scan a SMART Health Card and the biographic (name/DOB) do not match your CLEAR membership or if you upload a CDC card. Unverified digital vaccine cards will generate a green Health Pass for organization’s that allow this as a method for entry. If your organization does not accept unverified digital vaccine cards, you will have to go through an alternative screening option. We also recommend you bring proof of vaccination to your event.
Where can I use my digital vaccine card?
Digital vaccine cards can be used with organizations partnered with CLEAR or independently as proof of vaccination.
Where can I find the list of healthcare providers that are supported via HAPI?
Open the CLEAR app, tap the Digital vaccine card or Health Pass tile, and follow instructions. When you arrive at the 'Add your COVID-19 vaccination' step, you can find the list of healthcare providers by clicking on 'Other Healthcare Providers.' If you do not see your provider, you can upload your CDC card.
What is the digital vaccine card?
The digital vaccine card provides CLEAR members with the ability to verify their vaccine information to generate a standalone digital card that is always accessible. CLEAR members will be able to create a digital vaccine card by linking directly with Atlantic Health System (AHS), SMART Health Card QR codes from places like Walmart and the State of California, or one of the hundreds of providers in Human API’s (HAPI’s) network.
What is Human API (HAPI)?
Human API is a consumer-controlled health data platform. Via CLEAR's HAPI integration, CLEAR is able to verify vaccine information from over 600 providers in HAPI's network.
What if I found my vaccine provider in the app but am unable to link my information?
If your provider is listed and you are still unable to link your vaccine information, contact customer service by emailing memberservices@clearme.com or calling 855-CLEARME(253-2763).
What if I did not get my first and second dose by the same provider?
There is an option to add another provider when linking your vaccine information. As long as both providors are listed in the app, you will be able to create a digital vaccine card.
