What equipment is needed for Health Pass?

No formal equipment is needed for Health Pass, only the CLEAR app on an Android or IOS device. To review passes, you can use any QR code scanner to check live passes or opt to purchase the Skyler kiosk (CLEAR hardware) for an integrated temperature solution.

What does it mean when I get a green, red, or amber status?

These statuses are determined based on your responses to survey questions, vaccine information, COVID-19 lab test results, and/or temperature scan on CLEAR hardware, if your organization requires them. The venue is in control of how they address green, amber, and red status for access to their establishment or place of work. If you receive a red Health Pass, please see your venue for more information.

How do I use my Health Pass after I generate it?

You can scan or share your Health Pass at the participating venue based on the venue’s policy for entry.

How long does a Health Pass result last?

Health Passes generally remain valid for 12 hours following survey completion. Once it expires, you will just need to go through the Health Pass flow again to create a new Health Pass for your organization.

How was the Health Pass survey developed?

The questions in the Health Pass survey were developed based on publicly available guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as other health institutions and it was reviewed and refined with the assistance of CLEAR's medical advisors.Information about COVID-19 is constantly changing. We monitor CDC and other guidance on best practices for screening questions. We, together with your employer, may change the survey section from time-to-time in response to such guidance and the advice of our medical advisors.

How is the information I provide in Health Pass used? Is it shared with third parties?

The specific answers to survey questions or any specific test results are not provided to our third party partners or employers, but are used to generate a red or green Health Status for screening purposes, which you share with third parties, or your employer at your discretion. The use of your data is governed by our Member Terms and Privacy Policy.
